There’s something special about spending a day on the farm, and we’d love for you to join us for our Third Annual Farm Day!

On Saturday, September 5th, from 10 AM-4 PM, Little Captain Creek Farm will be opening its doors for a full day of faith, family, food, and farm life. Whether you're a longtime customer or this is your first visit, Farm Day is a chance to slow down, enjoy the farm, and experience a little bit of what life looks like here.

Why Come to Farm Day?

🐄 Experience Life on the Farm

Farm Day is about more than just shopping. It's an opportunity to see the animals, explore the farm, and experience some of the traditions and everyday work that make farming so special.

Throughout the day, you can enjoy buggy rides, pony rides, wagon rides, egg collecting, and even a hands-on milking demonstration. You'll also have the chance to see our baby calves and spend time experiencing the farm in a way you simply can't get from a grocery store.

🌾 Meet the People Behind Your Food

One of the things we value most at Little Captain Creek Farm is the relationship between farmers and the families who enjoy the food we produce.

At 1 PM, Farmer Steven and Sara from Customer Service will sit down for a talk and round-table discussion. It's a great opportunity to hear directly from the people behind the farm, learn more about what we do, and ask questions.

🧺 Shop, Taste & Enjoy Local Food

Of course, no farm day would be complete without good food!

The farm store will be open throughout the day, with tastings and shopping available, along with several local vendors joining us. You'll also be able to enjoy a farm-fresh lunch featuring pulled pork or pig roast, beef burgers, sauerkraut, fresh vegetables with ranch dip, and sourdough bread.

And don't forget dessert! We'll have farm-made ice cream and sourdough pie, along with chocolate milk, milkshakes, and lemonade to keep everyone refreshed.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Bring the Whole Family

Farm Day is designed to be enjoyed by all ages. Kids can enjoy pony and buggy rides, meet the animals, and help collect eggs, while adults can shop, eat, ask questions, and simply enjoy a day out on the farm.

It's a chance to put down the phones, get outside, and make some memories together.

Thanksgiving Starts Now: Our Baby Turkeys Have Arrived!

We've officially welcomed 130 baby turkey poults to the farm: 50 Heritage Breed turkeys and 80 Broad Breasted White turkeys. Over the next several months, we'll care for them as they grow into the centerpiece of many Thanksgiving tables, and we're excited to invite you to be part of that journey.

Food Freedom: Why Knowing Your Farmer Matters

As we celebrate Independence Day, it's a fitting time to reflect on the freedoms we often take for granted, including the freedom to choose the food we bring home to our families. Who gets to decide the food we eat, the kind of milk we drink, what farmers are allowed to produce, and what consumers are allowed to buy? These questions are at the heart of a growing conversation about food freedom.
