Waffles & Raw Ice Cream
Because waffles and ice cream for breakfast? Absolutely. Especially when it’s raw, local, and made with love.
  • Prep Time:
  • Cook Time:
  • Servings: 4

Directions

Ingredients:

For the Waffles:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1¾ cups whole milk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

To Serve:

  • Raw vanilla ice cream (from Little Captain Creek)
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries, honey, maple syrup, fruit jam, whipped cream, crushed nuts

Instructions:

1. Make the Waffle Batter:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, combine eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Stir wet ingredients into the dry just until combined — batter should be slightly lumpy.

2. Cook the Waffles:

Heat your waffle iron and lightly grease it.
Pour in batter and cook until golden brown and crisp — about 3–5 minutes per waffle.

3. Serve with Raw Ice Cream:

Top warm waffles with a generous scoop of raw ice cream.
Let it melt a little over the top. Add berries or a drizzle of syrup if you're feeling fancy.

Farmer’s Note:

This is a favorite around the farm — sweet, creamy, and packed with real flavor. The raw ice cream makes it feel decadent, but the waffles keep it grounded. Eat it for breakfast, dessert, or both. There are no rules — just joy.
